Brendan

Towards the end of April, "The Handful" lost a digit as we became a household of 4. Brendan made his move to Scotland and has been there ever since! While he is missed in Georgia, we are beyond thrilled for his progress in the UK and his ability to be more independent than he would have been in our region of the States. He has more to say about his transition:

Life Update

Life in Scotland has been a study in independence. My job is demanding, but finding a sustainable rhythm has been key. I started biking to my job, which was great for fitness and my wallet until a nasty bout of appendicitis totally derailed my progress. Balancing these new adult challenges has been tough, but the social highlights make it all worth it—like meeting two Irish blokes (yes, in Scotland!) and catching an unforgettable rock concert in Glasgow. The job itself has created some great moments, too. I even celebrated my first birthday overseas here - totally unexpectedly - with a bagpiper playing 'Happy Birthday' for me at work! The good times continued at our recent Christmas staff party. Scotland knows how to do it right! We had pizza and a DJ for a wild night of karaoke and dancing. These moments of connection really make Scotland feel like home, a feeling I wasn’t sure I’d find when I left the US.
